Cardinal mark of North: 8.No
Colours - upper part: black and lower part: yellow
Shape - pile or bouy with top mark
Top mark - two black cones with their apexes together in a vertical line one above the other
Light (if any) - Colour: white
Characteristics - Continuous (uninterrupted) flashing
Cardinal mark of East: 8.Ea
Colours - black with a wide horizontal yellow band around the middle
Shape - pile or bouy with top mark
Top mark - two black cones with their apexes pointing away from each other in a vertical line one above the other
Light (if any) - Colour: white
Characteristics - Three flashes in a group
Cardinal mark of South: 8.So
Colours - upper part: yellow and lower part: black
Shape - pile or bouy with top mark
Top mark - two black cones with their apexes pointing downwards in a vertical line one above the other
Light (if any) - Colour: white
Characteristics - Six flashes in a group followed by a flash of minimum 2 seconds

Colours - yellow with a wide horizontal black band around the middle
Shape - pile or bouy with top mark
Top mark - two black cones with their apexes pointing towards each other in a vertical line one above the other

MARKING OF HARBOURS AND PORTS
for small vessels

Two-mole harbours:

a) by night - a green all-round cone on the startboard side and a red all-round cylinder illuminated with uninterrrupted white light;
b) by day - a shape supporting pole of the same colour as the shape and with white stripes of 1 m wide.
One-mole harbours approachable on port side:

a) by night - a red all-round cylinder illuminated with uniterrupted white light;
b) by day - a shape supporting pole of the same colour as the shape and with white
One-mole harbours approachable on starboard side:

a) by night - a green all-round cone illuminated by uniterrupted white light;
b) by day - a shape supporting pole of the same colour as the shape and with white stripes of 1 m wide
One-pier ports approachable on both sides:

a) by night - an all-round shpere with horizontal green and red stripes, illuminated with uninterrrupted white light;
b) by day - a shape supporting pole with green and red stripes.
